Why we exist

Every decision you make happens under uncertainty.

That’s not a philosophical claim. It’s a definition. If the outcome were known, there would be nothing to decide.

In those moments, when the answer isn’t clear and a move still has to be made, people don’t behave randomly. They apply the same structure, over and over, across situations, across years.

That structure shapes what we later call personality, taste, and preference.

No system has ever measured it directly. Every tool that measures how people decide actually measures something else — outcomes, traits, self-reported behavior. They collapse the uncertainty before they measure anything.

We built an instrument that doesn’t do that.

The Compass™ presents real scenarios where the ambiguity is irreducible. No right answers. No scoring. What emerges is the structure itself — how you actually move when the outcome isn’t known.

That’s what we measure. Nothing more. Nothing less.
